Title: HylaFax Printing
Post by: Steven Curren on September 27, 2001, 02:31:08 PM
Howdi folks,

I would like to automatically print received faxes to a printer. The Hyalafax FAQ uses the example of "/usr/bin/tiff2ps -a $FILE | lpr", however I do not seem to be able to pipe text to the lpr command (using echo testPring | lpr -P -r) or print a text file (using lpr -P -r). The command takes the job but nothing happens.

Windows printing is ok.

Is there a way to print from the console and hence from hylafax automatically?

Thx for all replies.

You need to setup a print filter in the /etc/printcap.
Check www.linuxprinting.org for help.

The best way to modify /etc/printcap is to do it
is under /etc/e-smith/template-customer/.

Good Luck
