Title: ibays permissions
Post by: Greg Zartman on October 06, 2001, 05:55:22 AM
I ran into something a bit puzzling with ibays.  If I go in and setup an ibay for file storage and set the group to a user group that I setup, I would expect that file permission on this ibay be set to this group.   In my case, this isn't happening.   When I look at the file permissions for files/directories in this ibay, the group is set to samba_us.  I'm assuming this means samba users, but does anyone know where this comes from?  It appears that e-smith is ignoring the group that I assigned to this ibay and substituting the group samba_us.

Does anyone have any insight on this?  Thank you.

I figured it out.

Funny how that happens right after you post a question isn't it.
