I have a virtual domain using an ibay. The vitual doamin works fine but I cannot get the cgi-bin enabled. I am using E-Smith 4.0.1 and I followed the direction in the update post.

>/sbin/e-smith/db accounts setprop i-bay CgiBin enabled
>/sbin/e-smith/signal-event console-save
but I still get a "The page cannot be found" message when I try to access "http://www.mydomain.xxx/cgi-bin/myscript".
I know it is not a problem with the script because it works fine in the primary web site.
Can anyone help?

I did that also. I went into the control panel and modified and saved after I created the ibay. The users can get to the files in the html subdirectory of the ibay (virtual domain) they just cannot access the scripts in the cgi-bin.

The listed bug refers to a bug in 4.0 which was fixed in 4.0.1, which is what Tim is using.

Actually, Tim has found a bug, which has been fixed in our
development release. It will be back-ported to 4.0.1 once
our current release is finished.

Is there a way to fix this prior to the finishing of the current release? Is there something I can change in my configuration. I do not mind customizing.

The fix is fairly obvious if you examine the httpd.conf fragments.
This question should now move to the developers list or please feel free to contact
e-smith technical support if you have purchased a subscription.
