Title: e-smith 5 and Links 2.0

Ok I am a linux newbie... that is why I went with e-smith (the ease of use).  Anyway I am trying to setup Links 2.0 http://www.gossamer-threads.com,  I think I am following the instuctions to the T.  Anyway have any of ya'll installed it?  Could you tell me what you might have done differently than the instructions.
