Post by: Hoay Fern on October 16, 2001, 08:19:33 AM
Hi.

i try to change the date and time in E-Smith Manager because when the person hele me installed the E-Smith , they set the time to USA/Europe i think

my company is in Asia/Singapore

i go to E-Smith Manager and go to Configuration : Date and Time

i try to change to Asis/singapore and clcik Save changes

after a while, it shows that:System clock is being updated. Please wait for a few seconds, then click here to verify changes.

i found that the time was not changed.

the actual time is 11.09AM but it shows that is 6.09AM only.

I dont understand y it doesnt works and it takes long time to process the time.

may i know

i get this output even i try to change the time to 11.09AM

Current setting: Tuesday October 16 2001, 7:06:58 AM Asia/Singapore

3)I found that when i get the email from internal users, the time is correct. but when i receive from external mails, some time is correct but some is different

Yes, I have had the same problems but no solution has been offered yet, nor have I been able to find one on the boards. I also found that if I selected the time server option,  I ended up just receiving error messages, so I would say to avoid that.

Time server has worked perfectly for me... I think you has made a wrong conf.
Try time.nist.gov (I think)

Set your BIOS clock to UTC Time (Greenich Mean Time) and within the e-smith-manager select your local time and the proper timezone for your country.
