Title: Can't install cause it gives this error

ln swapper task - not syncing


does this every time.

any suggestions?

P90 with 1gig hd.  42mb Ram...not the best setup, but I only need it for email.

How are you installing?  Do you know what the motherboard is?  Have you got it to boot recently with any OS? (If it has a floppy drive then try http://www.toms.net/rb/ to see if it can cope.)

Yes, I can get win95 and win98 going fine.  But only esmith gives that error

More info...
I am booting from floppy to CD.  Install goes fine until about 1/4 way into package install.  Then I get the screen that has the errors on it.  Im not sure what mb it is, as its pretty old (p90).  do you think its sme5? and maybe an older version would work?
