Title: HP Surestore DAT
Post by: Paul on October 20, 2001, 06:49:17 PM
Is there anyone who has any experience with the HP Surestore DAT 24 GB tapestreamer, will this device work with e-smith 4.1.2 and/or 5.0

Thanks,

Paul

Is it SCSI or EIDE?

No it's a SCSI device, at home I'm using a HP Colorado 8GB ide which works perfectly. But I'm trying to convince my employer to switch from a Novell server to E-Smith but first I want to know if the tapestreamer is E-Smith compatible because they don't want to buy a new tapestreamer.

best regards,

HP 24GB SCSI DAT, in combination with a supported scsi controller, will work just fine on both.

I installed this streamer on a adaptec 2904 PCI controller. I works perfectly.
