Has anyone used the Promise SuperTral SX6000 IDE raid card yet. If so what is your opinion?
-
Steve, do you actually have one or is this a pre-sales question. Since 3WARE have discontinued their ide raid cards we have only a few choices left.
The Promise line appears a good choice but you would have to compile the driver for SME. This is on my to do list. If you have the card I'll be happy to assist you.

Does Promise privide sources for their drivers ?

I have a Promise SX6000 controller that I need to install SME 5.5 or SME 5.6 on.
The Raid-5 is ready for an OS (Win2K server installs on it and boots from it).
However SME anything will not. It says:
