I am curious as to the possibilites for virtual email hosting.
I am aware that e-smith is a 'one user system' but I would still like to be able to have the following situation:
info@virtualdomain1.com
info@virtualdomain2.com
info@virtualdomain3.com
Is this possible?
I read a tutorial and it still didn't seem possible. I am scared that I will have to install Postfix or Sendmail and use that instead. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

This is possible. Each user account will work with each domain you host. You do not need to do anything further than setup up each of the virtual domains.
I know this works, as I have eight domain names hosted on my e-smith server, and my user account can receive email sent to any of the domains.
For example you can reply to me at:
james@shields.net.au
james@geelongcats.com
james@scottiesvic.asn.au
etc, etc, etc.......

Thanks for the response James,
Actuallly, my question was incomplete.
I would like to be able to provide different domains with the same username ie.
info@domain1.com
info@domain2.com
info@domain3.com
But, I would also like these mapped to different users. ie.
info@domain1.com goes to user fred
info@domain2.com goes to user peter
info@domain3.com goes to user betty
Any ideas?
Thanks

i just installed it. It vorks just fine for me. Youll have to modify the system a little.
have a look at:
http://myezserver.com/docs/mitel/vdomain-alias-howto.html
this describes it very accurately.

Erik,
This is still achievable, see Sander's reply. HowTo is easy to follow

Hi,
I just followed the how to and it did not work out. I can't pinpoint where I
went wrong.
I am going to try again.
Thanks fo rall the advice.

I followed the howto and it worked well on 4.1.2 but not on a 4.0.1 box.
any ideas how to go about making it work on 4.0.1?
