Title: currupt shares/data?
Post by: glc on October 26, 2001, 11:46:22 PM
Certain folders on shares seem to stop responding when I try to open them or select/view their contents.  There accessibility sometimes returns after a couple of minutes if I just leave the seemingly crashed folder open.

This seems to only affect folders containing .url and .eml (Outlook Express emails) files.

If I copy the problem directory to my computer, the contents seem ok.

See following link for a pic demostrating the problem...

I created a new folder on the local share for my account and as soon as I tried to copy a .url from IE Favorites to it, the directory stopped responding.

Once I got the folder closed, I returned to it and the .url was there, however,  as soon as I slid the mouse pointer over it, the folder stopped responding again.

.eml (OE files) have the same result.
