Title: connection timed out
Post by: Ronald on October 28, 2001, 11:57:02 PM
The problem is that I receive mail from some ISP's and don't receive mail from others. Those ISP's sending the "following message back:

-----------
Reporting-MTA: dns; "xxx.xxx.nl
Arrival-Date: Sat, 27 Oct 2001 23:29:10 +0200 (MET DST)

Final-Recipient: rfc822; ronald@oldenziel.nl
Action: delayed
Status: 4.0.0
Diagnostic-Code: X-Postfix; connect to mail.xxx.nl[xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]:
    Connection timed out
Will-Retry-Until: Thu,  1 Nov 2001 22:29:10 +0100 (MET)
----------

I really don't understand. The mail is sent to my SME mail server but for some reason it is not catching the mail sent throuhg some ISP's.

What can be wrong?

Tell us more about configuration and added modules (if there are)

I'm using a standard SME V5 release and added the update from the blades panel.
I use a alcatel ADSL modem with a tweak and it is always on. There are no connection problems to the websites I' am hosting.

How did you add the multiple mailboxes to fecthmail?

I don't know what you mean. I'm not using multiple mailboxes. The SME mailserver must catch all the mail that's sent to my domain. So I set the "Email retrieval" panel to standard.

Do you collect from Pop-box only or multiple? The e-mail retreival panel only provides the possibility to collect from 1 pop-box only and you are talking abut multiple domains...
