Title: php upgrade

i tried to upgrade php following the how to on www.familybrown.org and it came up with these errors in e-smith 4.12
 error: failed dependencies:
        openssl >= 0.9.6 is needed by mod_php-4.0.6-10.arvin.rh7.1
        libcrypto.so.1   is needed by mod_php-4.0.6-10.arvin.rh7.1
        libssl.so.1   is needed by mod_php-4.0.6-10.arvin.rh7.1
        openssl >= 0.9.6 is needed by php-imap-4.0.6-10.arvin.rh7.1
        libcrypto.so.1   is needed by php-imap-4.0.6-10.arvin.rh7.1
        libssl.so.1   is needed by php-imap-4.0.6-10.arvin.rh7.1
        libcrypto.so.1   is needed by php-ldap-4.0.6-10.arvin.rh7.1
        liblber.so.2   is needed by php-ldap-4.0.6-10.arvin.rh7.1
        libldap.so.2   is needed by php-ldap-4.0.6-10.arvin.rh7.1
        libsasl.so.7   is needed by php-ldap-4.0.6-10.arvin.rh7.1
        libssl.so.1   is needed by php-ldap-4.0.6-10.arvin.rh7.1
do i need to install sme 5 first
and can i just upgrade it with out any expected problems

also interested in ssl how do you create your own

You're using the wrong RPMs; you need the ones from http://rpms.arvin.dk/php that are built for RedHat 6.2.
