Title: Webcal
Post by: Chris Woods on November 07, 2001, 04:27:14 AM
I've tried to install webcal 3.03 on my E-Smith 4.12.  I've followed the instructions many times and I still can't get it to work.  I believe the problem lies somewhere in my permissions.  When I try to access the webcal server 192.168.168.4/webcal/webcal.cgi it tells me I do not have permission to execute CGI even though the I-BAY is set for dynamic content and everyone has access to it.

I could really use some help here guys...

tks.

Chris

I think the url should be...

xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/webcal/cgi-bin/web.cgi

You should be able to go to just http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/webcal/

If you follow the directions correctly and created the index.shtml file
You should be able to go to just http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/webcal/
otherwise try the full url http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/webcal/cgi-bin/webcal.cgi

also make sure that you setup the correct permissions for that ibay
should be 'Local network(no password require)' or 'Entire Internet(no password require)'
and for 'User access via file sharing or user ftp:' should be  '...Read=Everyone(*)'
