The command

  /etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd-e-smith start

will start the server.

You should look in the log file

  /var/log/httpd/admin_error_log

for any hints of what is going wrong.

It is also helpful if you could post the exact error message generated and some lines from the log file.

Hello,

I am still having problems with my httpd-e-smith starting when booting up my server.
I have looked in the /var/log/httpd/admin_error_log
and there is no errors in there.
The only error that I can find is in the /var/log/boot.log
the error is "Nov 18 10:42 cobb1 rc: httpd-e-smith: Failed"

I have have tryed to restart the httpd with the command
that Chris O'Donovan wrote
/etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd-e-smith start

It just says Starting httpd:

I look at both logs boot.log and admin_error_log and I did not see any errors.

Anyone have any suggestions ?

Thanks
