Title: Squid behind 2nd Proxy
Post by: Jeff on November 16, 2001, 10:54:54 PM
I work for a school district and would like to use the filtering capabilities of SquidGuard in conjunction with Cyber Patrol and out current firewall until I am comfortable enough to use this full time.   I am trying to get http requests to pass through the Cyber Patrol filter also with no luck.  I need to foward from squid to x.x.x.x:8080   I cannot seem to get traffic to pass through this port to use secondary filter.  Any suggestions??  Have tried mod.  squid.conf file with no luck.

I don't think that you can/should have 2 proxies.

This should be no different than having different levels of cache  parent/sibling   as well as several firewalls.   I am just trying to find a way to make all http requests pass through the squid firewall to the cyberpatrol proxy.  Theoretically it should be possible to send the traffic through an address with a port not just an address.
