The following ethernet controller isn't listed in the user guide:
Intel 82559 Fast Ethernet 10/100 PCI Controller

Does anyone know if it works with version 5.0Update2?

I want to buy a booksized PC with following:
 motherboard: ASUS CUSI-FX
 CPU: Celeron 1 GHz
 Graphics: 24-Bit 230MHz RAMDAC Intel Direct AGP-Grafik-Controller

 Please drop me a line.

Looking in the Redhat compatability list the 82559 chipset has been supported since Redhat 6.1.

 http://www.redhat.com/support/hardware/intel/62/rh6.2-hcl-i.ld-11.html

The module is eepro100.o which is found in
 /lib/modules/2.2.19-7.0.8/net/eepro100.o

This would suggest it will work....

I did see this though at:

 http://hardware.redhat.com/hcl/genpage2.cgi?pagename=7.2&statpage=7.2-inic

Note: A bug in the eepro100 driver prevents use of more than one of these cards simultaneosly in one machine. This should not affect situations where the e epro100 driver is used by both network cards, but the chipset is different. To determine the chipset on your network card, run the lspci command

				Hello Anthony,

thanks for your tips for ethernet card.
I were not able to watch the redhat compatibility list, every time I
want it, my browser hangs. If I cancel transfer I could see only a
 part of the list.

Thats why I asked in the forum :-)
