Title: NetGear FA311
Post by: Luke Drumm on November 18, 2001, 07:13:07 AM
Hi,

I recently went about the rather geeky process of upgrading our internal network from a rather dusty old 10Mb thin ethernet to a new all singing, all-dancing 100Mb switched twisted pair operation.

Now all has proceeded to plain except for the new netwrok card installed in the SME 5 server. Yes... it's a Netgear FA311 network card.

Little did I realise the shear *joy* (note: sarcasm at work) of these little beasties when it comes to playing with linux boxes. Doh!

If anybody has a working copy of the fa311.o module (or it cousins) for SME 5, it would be grately appreciated if the required files could be emailed to me.

Regards,
Luke

Luke:

Use an FA310TX -- the FA311 is not suitable for a server NIC. That should solve your problem.
