Title: Anonymous FTP
Post by: Mike Scott on October 11, 1999, 09:20:26 AM
I can't seem to be able to locate which directory a user is placed into when doing an anonymous FTP.  There is no /home/ftp directory which is the usual place RedHat puts it and I also can't locate anything that looks like it under /home/e-smith.

Hi Mike,

Since we have all of our servers pointing at the same files, we had to change from the usual practice of using server-specific directory names such as /home/ftp, /home/httpd and so on. Anonymous ftp takes you to the directory:

/home/e-smith/files/primary/files
