Assuming that you've set it all up correctly (registered a domain, etc.), your ISP may be blocking port 80. If you search on the forums, you'll find threads on changing to an alternate port.

Did you try to log on SSH or FTP ?

Or is it only the webserver ?

well i got ftp and ssh running and for some reason after i did a clean install of version 5 the website doesnt seem to be visible except only in the internal network.

i have a dynamic ip so i hooked up with YI.org.. and ftp 'ing my server withthe host as xxXXXX.yi.org work ???

I have a static IP address so I don't know much about this part, but is the e-smith set up properly to update the IP address at yi.org ? Have you tried using the IP address instead of the hostname? I wasn't sure by your post whether or not the other services were accessible externally... If so, then just ignore this.

I spent hours trying to figure this out, and finally asked my isp (bignet) turns out they were blocking ftp, http, mail, and anything else they thought might be usefull... in order to "protect" us. I'd ask your ISP first and then if they aren't blocking it try tracerouting it to see where it fails.
