Title: IE doesn't want to display admin frontend
Post by: Stefan Brunnengraeber on November 30, 2001, 10:00:30 AM
Hello,

I noticed yesterday, that the Internet Explorer doesn't want to display the content frame of the admin frontend. If I click on an item on the left navigation bar, only "Please wait a moment" appears on the right.

If I use Netscape, I don't have any problems at all.

The first time I recognized this behaviour was when I rebooted the server from the admin panel via telnet. After this there was no admin frontend in IE. I shut down and rebooted directly from servers console as root, then all was fine.

Has anybody had this as well?

Bye,
Stefan Brunnengraeber

Hi,

I've had a simular problem, with SME 5 telling me the manager was not found on the server!

I got round this by going to http://server.ip.address:980

eg) http://192.168.1.1:980

This bug is also in SME5.1 beta1

Kind regards,
Rob.
