Did anyone install Demarc (www.demarc.org) and Snort (www.snort.org) on a the e-smith box?

You might want to connect with the guys at the Axonlinux project.  They are just getting back on their feet after a bit of an infrastructure fiasco, but they are working on putting an IDS into e-smith.  Go bug them --- they like it :)

I use Snort with e-smith but not demarc.

I took a look at Axon, tnx Dan G. for the link. They do not have a package ready for download yet so it's a bit hard to see if they did it  ;-))

Actually I used an RPM package - I get this weird error with RMP files ;)
