Title: SquidGuard - how to allow unfiltered access from one machine
Post by: Dave Spears on December 09, 2001, 12:23:33 PM
Hello.
I am running e-smith 4.1.2 and using squidGuard for filtering of unsuitable web sites.
It works very well.
I would like to modify the setup so to allow unfiltered access from a particular internal IP address but still filter all other access from the other internal IP addresses.
I assume that I must put something into /usr/local/squidGuard.conf but don't know what?
Would be very grateful for any suggestions.
Thanks.
Dave.

Search here for Squidguard II.  It only works with the 4.1.2 and it is web control and it adds to the e-smith manager.  Very easy to use.

Anyone to point me in the right direction which version of squidguard to use for a 4.1.2 machine? I've found the hint "squidguard 2.1.tar" elsewhere, i've searched for squidguard II too. Is there an rpm for 4.1.2 out there?

http://www.tech-geeks.org/servers/sme/squidGuard/squidguard3.2-README.txt

says that

"This version [3.2] should work on all current versions of E-Smith / SME Server".

shoud. That's what makes me ask.
