Title: pptp and subnet
Post by: BK on December 12, 2001, 07:39:41 AM
Hi all,

I manage to connect my remote pc to my e-smith using pptp.

The problem is that the VPN adapter for my win98 with DUN 1.4 is getting wrong subnet.

My network IP is class A but subnetted with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0.
The problem i am facing is that when i check the ipconfig of the VPN adapter it shows me the subnet of 255.0.0.0

I also enable e-smith's dhcp and tested it with a pc. IT works fine the PC is able to obtain a correct subnet mask of 255.255.255.0

Does anyone knows why?

Regards,
Beng Kwee
