Title: "Primary" permissions

I've created a group called "webdev" and I want the members of this group to be able to add/edit files in my /primary/html folder or the root of the default website in E-smith/SME.

Is there a way to change the permissions on this folder to allow access to these users?

I've seem any posts on this, but few concrete answers and even fewer step-by-step instructions.

Can someone please advise?

I've used the CHOWN command. Example: at a command prompt in that folder I ran:  chown "group name" *

What would the resulting security issues be . . . if any?
