Title: Never had trouble with my samba PDC since today !!
Post by: Brossin Pierrick on December 16, 2001, 01:15:07 PM
Hey ppl,

I had trouble with my ES 4.1.2 server lately (it was already my pdc)
So I decided to upgrade to SME v.5 (actually, I reinstalled everything)
The domain was "march-networks" but I could log on with windows xp on the domain "brossin".
"brossin" was the domain I choosed on ES 4.1.2... that is strange I could log on..

Then My WinXP HD crashed... I reinstalled WinXP on another HD and tried to log on my PDC..
"brossin" wasnt working so I went on the manager and changed "march-networks" to "brossin".
And now, WinXP asks me the username/password and then give me the error message : "The remote procedure call failed."

Any idea of what is the trouble ?

Regards

ps: I followed the instructions found on myezserver to log a WinXP machine on a PDC and tried to remove my account on Samba as said on this website.

Think you have to use the winprofiles rpm to store NT profiles on the e-smith box??
