Hello all,
I did a desktop backup from 4.1b3 then installed 4.1b4. I went through the basic configuration and then did the restore fro desktop. After the restore completes, I log in to the server console and it goes through the change activation. After I reboot it tells me that I need to go through the setup again. Everything seems the same in the setup however, when I log in via a browser and review the configuration, all addresses now have an e-smith in them. i.e. www.domain.com is now www.e-smith.domain.com.
How do I fix this? The /etc/hosts file says not do edit it directly. Is there somewhere I can take out the e-smith portion of the host name. Like I said, it does not show up in the console configuration, you only see it if you review the configuration in the web browser or look at the /etc/hosts file.
Thanks,
Vincent Colombo

Please co-operate with us and only discuss the 4.1 beta releases on the devinfo mailing lists. Either that, or wait until version 4.1 is released.
Thanks for your co-operation.

Sorry, I'm new to e-smith and figured the development list was only for people actively participating in development.

If you are testing a beta release and providing feedback, then you are actively participating in development.
