Title: Intel Pro/100+: eepro100 or Intel e100
Post by: Nate on January 06, 2002, 06:09:02 PM
I just got a few Intel Pro/100+ Management Adapters (i82559-based) for dirt cheap ($10 each) and I put one in my e-smith server. I used the default eepro100 driver. However, Intel has their own driver for the Pro/100, called e100. Which offers the best performance/reliability? It will be a low to medium-volume web/mail/domain server.

TIA

I have the following problem with eepro100 and no problem at all with e100:
when accessing the date and time server-manager web panel it stops loading after the timezone settings, not showing the ntp config. Always reproducible.
