Title: Port forwarding
Post by: Lars Kjeldsen on January 12, 2002, 03:15:44 AM
Hi there.

I have installed the dmc-mitel-portforwarding-0.0.1-4.noarch.rpm on my SME 5.0, but i can't get it to work.

It is like the firewall don't accept the portforwarding change. can you help me, what do i do to open the port in the firewall.?

When i scan the ports i can't see the ports i have set up to be forwardet? But i see all the other ports (like 80).

Best regards

If you are using the e-smith-ipportfw-0.1.1-1.noarch.rpm, I believe it has a bug in it.  There was a new one on Jan. 3 at http://myezserver.com/downloads/mitel/dmc-mitel-portforwarding-0.0.1-4.noarch.rpm

I experienced that same problem using 1.1-1

Thanks so much. I've got ftp and www services running and working behind my SME box.

You're all a life saver!

I still  can't get it to work. I have another webserver behind my SME 5.0 box and i want to use port 8080 on the outside and port 80 indside.

Like this:
Request from the internet: 194.123.436.43:8080

194,123,436,43   ( My IP on the firewall/SME box internet side)

portforward 194.168.436.43:8080 => 192.168.100.10:80

192.168.100.1     ( My IP on the indside the firewall/SME box)

Another webserver on the locale network 192.168.100.10:80
