Hi Folks,
I've recently installed the "dmc-mitel-freeswan-0.4-11.noarch.rpm", which by the way I never did get working. :-) See posting
http://forums.contribs.org/index.php?topic=12465.msg46796#msg46796
But I've found that since I've installed this RPM my DHCP is not working for my LAN.
Would someone be so kind as to provide some pointers of what/where to check for the problem and maybe some possible fixes??
Thanks so much,
Craig

I've installed the how-to on several production servers without the problem you're having. You can see if dhcpd is running from the command prompt with
ps -e |grep dhcpd
You can restart it to see what the error is by entering
service dhcpd restart
It might be as simple as going through the "Configure this server" from the SME server console. I would choose a different range of dhcp assignable numbers.

Steve,
did you have to install any of the other contributed modules or was the dmc-mitel-freeswan RPM all you needed?
Thanks,
Craig

I reinstalled SME and did a restore from Desktop and everything appears to be fine. I'm going to wait a couple of days and then attempt the dmc-mitel-freeswan* install.
Thanks,

That's all you should need.
I went ahead and updated my SME5.0's version of freeswan using the rpm included in an early release version of SME5.1, but I also ran the stock version from SME 5.0 and it appeared to work fine. The how-to has a config file for both versions.
