Title: Web Access
Post by: AndrewD on January 16, 2002, 02:19:46 AM
Hi all,

I have a small problem with SME 5.0 When I try to access the home page from and external source, it times out with "This page cannot be displayed". It also indicates that it has a DNS error, however I can see the domain being resolved on the bottome of Internet Explorer.

To confirm this I have evan tried entering the ip address.

The domain is http://www.cavebell.com.au

I have re-installed SME again this morning, and the same problem exists. I should also mention that if I try to access it thru SSL, it does resolve and the page comes up.

Any idea's?

PS. No unusual logs are being generated.

Thank you.

A pizza says your ISP's blocking port 80 requests.

How can we change port 80 to something else on E-smith if your ISP starts blocking port 80?

I will appreciate your help.
