Title: Dot Biz and recieving email
Post by: Ynot on January 23, 2002, 01:38:34 PM
I have setup SME V5 with upgrade3 as an email server and can send email but cannot receive email.

I have a dot biz domain name. Could that have something to do with it?

My IP addresses and MX records are all configured and the web server but this mail server has got me. I can send mail on the local lan.

Does anyone else have an email server configured with a dot biz domain name that can help me?

I can think of no reason a dot BIZ, or dot anything would matter, as long as it is an official extension.

Have you querried your name servers to make sure that they are giving out the correct MX information?

If you will mail me your domain name, I will querry my name server and let you know what information I get back.

nslookup on www.xxxx.biz comes back fine.

However mail.xxx.biz fails.

I have checked that the ip address and mx record are setup.
I am using zoneedit.
Does it take a little more time for the mail.xxx.biz to update?
