Title: Lost email - POSSIBLE BUG?
Post by: Adam Rykala on January 25, 2002, 01:11:15 AM
Jan 24 17:03:37 firewall smtpd[7570]: smtp connection from UNKNOWN@localhost(127.0.0.1) MAIL FROM: <-@pop.myrealbox.com> RCPT TO: , allowed by line 22 of /etc/smtpd_check_rules

If an email comes into my server (via pop pickup from an ISP) with a from adress with just a dash before the @ sign it disappears! Completely. I cannot find it anywhere on my box

ANy clues.

A previous suggestion said log into the ISP's pop3 box and check - but its now gone from there!

Its only random I get an email with the dash - but its a 100% loss rate so far?

This is important - if I can't fix this e-smith goes as I cannot live with lost email
