Title: Extracting attachments by using procmail
Post by: Lasse Johansson on January 29, 2002, 01:18:32 PM
I need to extract all attachments from a certain sender into some other location on the server.

The local user gets one mail each day (same Subject every day) with one attachment (name of the attachment is "date+time.txt") and he wants me to automate the extracting of those attachments so that those files could be stored into one directory on the server.

Is this possible at all, and are there any "gurus" out there willing to share their knowledge a little on this???

Unfortunately, I don't have a server side solution for you. However, my e-mail client, Calypso appears to have the ability to define a custom filter to do this (I don't have such a need but looking through the help file, it appears to be possible).

Hope this helps.
