Title: Backup Device compatibility?
Post by: Baronne Mouton on February 04, 2002, 10:12:13 PM
Hi,

I am just looking for a reliable, inexepensive backup device that works with SME v5 - any recommendations? I was looking at the Sony DDS24i but was unsure of it's compatibility?  I only need something like DDS3 12/24Gb..........

cheers

Hi Baronne,

I'm currently using a Sony SDT-9000 DAT drive which is DDS3 (and DDS2) on my machine and it works a treat. I bet you could pick up one of those cheap!

cheers,

Stich

What SCSI card do you have this tape attached to?
I am trying to setup a box with a 3 ware raid controll card but the tape is unreliable.

TIA
