Title: How do I move mysql databases
Post by: Mats Nordahl on February 05, 2002, 12:08:51 AM
How do I move mysql databases from one server to another server and get mysql to read/access them correctly?
Is there a simple way to backup the mysql databases and then move them to another server?

You might want to check out the MySQL frontend tool called MySQLFront.

http://anse.de/mysqlfront/

Among other things, it will help you get this accomplished.  It is not really a scriptable solution, but I got the impression you just wanted to move it one time.

This is not easy to do. Please tell me how to connect to mysql on the server, it seame that I don't have the rights to connect. Is there something to change in the server config to get the rights to connect. I am trying to move the databases from a SME 4.1.2 to a SME 5.1.2.
