Title: Load balancing external networks
Post by: Richard on February 05, 2002, 09:56:04 PM
Has anyone ever load balanced external networks with e-smith before. I am trying to load balance between 3 external lines if I can.

I currently have 3 T-1 lines I would like to load balance between. Basically 3 external NICs in, one internal NIC out. I would like them to load balance evenly between the three T-1s  to help maintain bandwidth & have network redundancy.

Any Ideas,
Richard

Richars,

That's clear... and difficult. I would have no idea besides cheking the status of ethx with a script. (x=0, ifup ethx result=negative, ifup ethx+1=negative, loop or something like this...) load balancing is a different thing....
