Title: Ver. 5 Raid 1 Partition Sizing
Post by: David Heiman on February 06, 2002, 01:01:09 AM
I'm new to Linux.  I've got SME Server installed on an AMD Clone with (2) 10 Gig
drives of same make but not same model so they're off by about 46 mb in size.
During install I chose the Raid 1 option starting with both drives cleaned & non-
partitioned.  SME loaded great, partitioned, formatted & mirrored the drives as promised but only 4.5 gigs from each - leaving the rest as free space.  Does anyone know why the install didn't take up all available space for the mirrors?

Thanks Dan.  I didn't think of it as a bug- thought it was just me. I'll try it.
Reguards,
