I am currently running SME 5.1.2, but this problem has been around for several releases. I have several systems in my home network, and as a new release comes out, I will backup the machine I am currently using as my server-gateway, build a new system on one of the other machines, and restore the backup to that newly created machine. I then reconfigure the new system, changing interface information as required and also changing the system name. The problerm is after several cycles of this process, my server-gateway system responds to all the system names I have ever used. In the Hostnames and Addresses panel, all of the system names I have ever used as the server-gateway are listed with Visability of either local or global, location as self, and since each hostname is followed by (**) identifying it as the system name, there is neither a modify or a remove button. I would like to remove the non-current addresses, but I have no idea what files I would need to modify. Any help would be greatly appreciated
