I have only just started using 'e-smith' and have a need to implement a QMail feature that is not in the package compilation.
The feature is a QUEUE configuration that will allow me to keep/store a copy of all in and outbound email (a corporate requirement).
I note the Qmail source is not in the distribution of SME Server 5.1.2 and I would assume a recompile is not encouraged as it would interfere with the Server Manager system?
What are the 'dangers', if any, of recompiling such software within the SME package. I quite like the whole package - it was up and running in no time with all the right bits for the job - but I would like to think it is reasonably flexible and not 'damaged' by add-ons and individual tweaks.
Any thoughts on this or suggestions for implementing a COPY ALL MAIL feature are sought.
