Title: v5 internet connection problems (switch or hub?)

i installed the server i cant get the thing to connect to the net??
i can ping other clients on the network and access the server within the network
but cant get the server to access the net so it can share it with other clients ...i tried everything ... test the cables, login proceedure, tested all network cards and config for internal n external ...i had a similar problem while back when i chaged from a hub to a switch? could this be the reason coz i bought a soho intelinet brand hub this time?

i dont know i am goiink insane ..any body can rpovide any other details which i may have overlooked.

Make sure you have the right type of cable connecting your server to your modem.  Is it a crossover cable?
