Hello. Suppose I wanted to allow FTP WRITE access to selected i bays from the Internet, outside the local network. How can this be accomplished? Are there any modifications req's to the FTP server? I need to allow this for some users.
Currently, I can access an i bay from the Internet, but not write to it. FTP access is set to Public, access limits Normal Usage, the i bay in question is set to Allow Access, password req'd.
Any help is most appreciated. Thanks.

You want to go to www.e-smith.org and read the section on
customizing e-smith.
Similar documentation can be found at:
http://www.bibber.net/esmith/
As far as I know, you need to create a custom template for your Proftpd.conf and then you need to learn a bit about proftpd and create write access for certain dir's within one of your ibays.
Thats about all I know! Hopefully its enough to get things rolling.
If you get it working, post your solution in this thread so others can read it also.
Good luck!
