Title: postscript source garbage when printing to deskjet 500

Hi,

I have added a local HP DeskJet 500 printer (from e-smith-manager)  to my e-smith 4.1b3, and all I see on the printer is some Postscript source text. Is there a trick to configure a non-PS printer? Nothing mentioned anywhere in the manuals...

e-smith configures printers for "raw" pass-through mode from local LAN clients.
You need to install the appropriate printer drivers on your client machines.

We do not install/configure Ghostscript and only support text printing from
the e-smith server itself (since no users ever log onto the server).
