Title: E-smith 4.1 upgrade

So, how do we upgrade from 4.0.1 to 4.1 ?  Does it take a full re-install ?  Is there a standard procedure to upgrade the entire system ?

Its a standard feature in the installation procedure now.

Steps:

1. do a backup of your 4.0.1 system using the backup/restore panel on the manager.

2. download and burn 4.1 final image.

3. boot the media (either using the bootable cdrom or creating a boot floppy)

4. Follow the instructions (preferrably from the user manual now available on the .org site)

Eventually you get prompted with a small menu with 3 options:

   - regular installation
   - software RAID installation
   - upgrade

5. Continue to follow the instructions and enjoy.

Please note that upgrades take a little longer than installations as there is more configuration involved.

No, It doesn't take  a full re-install,
You can apply a standard procedure to upgrade ,( install menu )
