Title: Gallery photo album on 5.1.2
Post by: steve C on February 22, 2002, 03:34:09 PM
Has anyone been able to successfully install gallery 2.5 on an mitel 5.1.2 server?  I had it running on a 4.1.2 server with not problem.  I resently switched to a 5.1.2 (clean install) and am now having problems getting gallery to work.  I followed the how-to by Dan Brown, except using the newest version of gallery.  The install went fine but gallery won't create thumbnails.  I can login and create an album, but when I try to upload images, I get an error about not being able to create thumbnails.  I don't know if this is a issue with NetPBM or if maybe the new PHP sandbox is interfering.  Any help would be great....

Thanks,
Steve

I have the same problem.
gallery is in an inbay.
Original images can be viewed ok but thumbnails and resized images will not display.

I followed the instructions and installed it into /opt/gallery

Dan Brown's HOWTO (http://www.familybrown.org/howtos/gallery-howto.html) though slightly outdated in title, works fine - IF- you follow all the directions.

Did you create the custom template as per his howto?
#-------------------------------------------
#   Gallery 1.2
#-------------------------------------------

  Alias       /gallery         /opt/gallery

    AddType application/x-httpd-php .php .php3 .phtml
    Options Indexes +Includes FollowSymLinks
    AllowOverride Options FileInfo
    order deny,allow
    deny from all
    allow from all

#------------------------------------------

and then expand the template?

This basically tells the webserver where to find the pictures.

If you're still having trouble, let me know.
