Post by: Aaron Dodson on February 23, 2002, 02:25:38 AM
I know ya'll are PHP experts, but can anyone tell me a good resource for learning PHP and possibly mySQL?  Let me know if I shouldn't post something like this also.  Thanks

Aaron,

I am using "Core PHP Programming" to teach myself PHP.  So far it is one of the better books I have seen, at least for my learning style.  There are code snippets that actually show how to make things happen.

ISBN:  0-13-089398-6

"PHP and MySQL Web Development" is pretty good. I've been working my way through it for a while now (and it's written by a couple of Aussies!).

The ISBN is 0-672-31784-2

PHP 4 in 24 hours is another good beginners book for PHP.  Covers all of the basics.
