Title: A webmail (pop reader) interfase like outlook
Post by: Lazo on February 25, 2002, 06:53:10 PM
This webmail is a freeware, it looks like outlook, i fyou like it, and make it work on SME, please post the RPM or a How to, I think is not difficult, because I saw this program running on freesco, an 2.038 kernel router!!

Have you tried making it work?  It doesn't look like it should be too difficult.  I'm not going to bother myself, as I'm very happy with IMP 3, but it'd be worth a try...

I've set it up, we are using some of it's database features for another app we are developing. It sets up VERY easy. If you have questions after you try you can reach me at admin@ruffdogs.com

http://demo2.ruffdogs.com/popper

check it out, make an account, play :-)

I'll get a doc up before the end of the week guys. Can't seem to get the calendar working though. I'll read the docs to see what I'm missing on that.

Please understand that I do this quite a bit different than the real pros. I use the Ibays quite a bit, and if I feel I need extra security, I just password protect the ibay itself.

Also, I concentrate on PHP, because I just plain like it :-)

If you find other PHP scripts you have questions about, I'll be happy to look at them and create a how-to for them (although they are sometimes slow in comming, we are very busy these days).

Okay, I've posted a quick how-to for popper.
Let me know if it needs any changes or if you are having a hard time with it.

I've gone through the HOWTO and it seems I did it right, but for some reason I get a blank page with html code that shows a blank page.  Any thoughts?  I'm using SME 5.1.2 and my PHP seems to work when I test it with a script saying phpinfo only, but not with popper.  doesn't even come back with any errors...justnothing. I have it in an ibay.

Thanx.
