Title: SMTP Server failure
Post by: George Plymale on March 03, 2002, 07:36:50 AM
My server has been working flawlessly for a couple of weeks now, however I have run into a snag it appears.  I am unable to send messages through my SMS Server now.  It appears to have started after I uploaded some very large message attachments.  Now everytime I try send a message I get errors such as:

The TCP/IP connection was unexpectedly terminated by the server.  (Account: 'mail', SMTP Server: 'mail', Error Number: 0x800ccc0f).

What would be going wrong that will not allow me to send mail now?  Is there a way to reset the queue or something?  I've tried rebooting and changing my configuration, but I still have not had success.

Thanks for any help!

I know this is a long-ago message, but I am having the same problem. As far as I know there was no extra-large attachment, either.

Check for free disk space.

Look in /var/log/smtpfront-qmail/current for clues.
