Title: "make" Command ?

Some things I have tryed installing seem to need a command called make.
SME does not seem to have this command.
Has anyone else had this problem and have any solutions.
My major problem is that im trying to install transcore it is a movie encoding pakage run by command line.

Any help would be great thank you.
