Title: zlib security
Post by: Jim Warrat on March 12, 2002, 12:39:43 AM
New security patch for redhat 7

http://www.redhat.com/support/errata/RHSA-2002-026.html

It looks like it fixes a security problem in zlib.  And zlib is found in SME.

Is this something we need to be concerned with?

Y'know --- this is a really good question.  I'm surprised there has not been any official statement from Mitel --- either "Not a problem, relax;" or "Fix pending."  This is a big enough issue it deserves a response...IMO

a post on www.securityfocus.com seems to make companies work a little faster.  It works for redhat and Microsoft.
