I have a e-smith 5.1.2 and I can't connect to my SME with vpn! Why????
I have enabled pptp in the server-manager. Do I need to do enything else? (the server dosen't answer)

What OS is the client running? Win2k and XP support it out of the box, but 9x needs to have DUN 1.4 installed. Even after installing it, mine was dropping the connection after a second or two. Reinstalling DUN 1.4 over top of it fixed that. When you setup your VPN connection, make sure you require encrypted passwords and data, and just select the protocol(s) you want to use and the server to connect to (the SME's IP/name). Other than some flaky DUN issues on the client, SME 5.0 works flawlessly for me without any special setup...
